‘Allo me Chinas! In line with the last 2 week’s money related Cockney rhyming slang, lady and monkey, this week’s is bulls-eye.
Bulls-eye is Cockney rhyming slang for £50.
Like monkey, there doesn’t seem to be a rhyming origin to bulls-eye, but the consensus is that the slang came about because the inner bulls-eye in darts is scored as 50 points.
Example:
After last night’s game, Johnny now owes me a bulls-eye.
